The mysterious project that broke into the scene in 2015 with the surprising single ‘Telling Me’, an exclusive Boiler Room Debuts premiere, is back to 1980.

User_145 is an internet enigma, a mystery that gets even deeper with the release of a debut EP where it expands on the sounds that were first introduced on their first single last year. If on one side User_145 reveals a bit more about itself along six tracks of dreamy electronic pop, it does so under total anonymity. We’ll never know if any of the various voices we hear on the EP are his (or hers), nor to whom belong the others. The tracks themselves, and not its author(s), are the real protagonists of this release.

The melancholic pop sweetness of User_145 is complemented by a sonic palette with a distinct British accent, where bits of grime and digital dancehall offer a welcome contrast with the tropical lightness and romantic feel of the tracks.
